AVF collects the following data:

  • · Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.)
  • · Corporate identification information (Name, address, website, Corporate identification number, VAT number, bank details, authorised personnel and any other detail for the sole purpose of transacting on the AVF platform
  • · Corporate identification information from Government and other public available sources used solely to verify data for the Due Diligence process.
  • · From credit reference agencies and use the resulting information to prevent fraudulent transactions
  • · Current and Historical trading transaction data carried out via AVF

You directly provide AVF with most of the data we collect. AVF collects data and process data when you:

  • Register online as a Member and subsequently place or accept a Firm Bid for Commodities and or Transporter services.
  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of AVF’s message boards or via email.
  • Use or view AVF’s website via your browser’s cookies.

AVF may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:

  • Analysing Buyers and Sellers in specific Commodity markets, in countries, with the sole purpose of promoting the use of AVF’s Commodities trading platform

AVF collects your data so that we can:

  • Process your Firm Bid and manage your account.
  • Email you with Firm Bid requests on the Commodities and services you specified that you are involved in.
  • AVF will not share your Company data with parties not registered as AVF Members.
  • Launcher’s Firm Bid request data is limited to the Product / Commodity (its specifics, quantities and special conditions) being offered and GPS coordinates of the collection or destination point.
  • Acceptor’s Firm Bid Acceptance or Counter Proposal will include GPS destination or collection coordinates.
  • AVF will not share your Company data with our Membership until a Firm Bid is and acknowledged by AVF.
  • When AVF processes a Firm Bid, it may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to reduce fraudulent purchase risk.

AVF securely stores your data on our Commodities trading platform. Access to the data is limited to the Member in question and authorised staff.

AVF would like to send you information about Commodities and services provided on our Trading platform that we think may enhance your business.

AVF would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every Member is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access – You have the right to access your personal and company data through Membership login.
  • The right to rectification – You have the right to request that AVF corrects any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request AVF to complete the information you believe is incomplete. Most of the data is available for correction. The trading platform will keep a record of the changes.
  • The right to erasure – You have the right to request that AVF erase your personal data, under certain conditions. Data essential for the Firm Bid process cannot be erased without resignation from the Trading Platform Membership.
  • The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that AVF restricts processing your personal data, under certain conditions. Data not required for requesting, accepting and confirming a Firm Bid is not used.
  • The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to AVF processing your personal data, under certain conditions. Data not necessary for requesting, accepting and confirming a Firm Bid is not used.
  • The right to data portability – You have the right to request that AVF transfer the data that we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
